The Problem

Due to recent Covid-19 Lockdown restrictions, people have had to self isolate, restricting the amount of human interaction they received. This negatively impacted people's mental health, especially young adults, as they lacked human interaction and mental stimulation.

 

The Value Proposition

A platform to suit the current evolving way of social learning whilst also allowing you to build a connection with like-minded people via a social networking platform.

    Assumptions and Hypotheses

    Our team formulated assumptions and hypotheses that we needed to validate to confirm our problem statement and form our value proposition.

    We did decide to include a draft value proposition based on our assumptions. We decided to have a potential path to work off and help save time further down the line.

  • Research methods and goals

    We set out goals to help guide us in answering our assumptions and hypotheses. Dividing the methods between the two of us in order to be more efficient with our time and work better as a team.

Research

As a Team of two UX designers, we set out to conduct user research.

Key finding

  • We found that full-time students were amongst the loneliest (34%)

  • People were turning to social media to help with loneliness

  • The online learning market is set to grow to $350 billion, a growth of 900% since the year 2000
